St Kitts and Nevis stand side by side with strikingly beautiful views of one another across the Narrows, a channel just two miles wide. A regular ferry service links both islands, maximising sightseeing opportunities from either. Visit, and you will find two quite different Caribbean islands, both welcoming and laid-back in classic old- Caribbean style and both blessed with sweeping sandy beaches and a championship golf course. St Kitts is the larger of the two islands, dominated by a dormant volcano, dense tropical forests and lush valleys. The cloud over the summit of Mount Nevis, which rises above the cotton plantations, rainforests and beaches inspired Columbus to name the island Nevis as it reminded him of the snow capped mountain peaks of home.
