The Cayman Islands, comprising Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman lie within the clear blue waters of the Western Caribbean, south of Miami and Cuba and approximately 200 miles northwest of Jamaica. They are actually the coral-encrusted summits of a submarine mountain range which, together with a protective coral reef, have led to the creation of the Cayman Islands as one the world’s top diving destinations.
At 22 miles long, Grand Cayman is the largest of the islands and the fifth largest financial centre in the world. It is the home of both the famous Seven Mile Beach, regarded as one of the finest beaches in the Caribbean and providing all the attractions and amenities associated with a leading resort, and Stingray City, reputedly the best 12 foot dive in the World. There are plenty of dining options, ranging from informal family restaurants to fine dining establishments, with fish and seafood unsurprisingly the local specialities. Elsewhere on the islands you can still experience a slow and gentle pace of life ideal for a relaxing break from the routine.
